GREAT PLANS: Roatan Part 2

Today, I am in flight and on my way to a tropical island in which I spent MANY hours and days researching; one of the places in which I have considered pursuing my PADI Instructor Certification through. It is the most difficult decision I’ve honestly ever made. Not because going on an international trip is dangerous or scary but because it has truly been a HUGE decision that I have made – FOR ME!! I did this for me and no one else. There is more to this, which I’ll blog about, eventually.

In making this decision, I’ve had to understand something greater than myself; God’s plans are FOR me and not against me. They are amazing plans. It’s true! The creator of the universe and my Lord and Savior is the One who has such AMAZING plans for me. They are FAR greater than anything I could plan for myself.

It’s crazy to some people. God is who orchestrates things that we could never fathom. God has given me so many desires of my heart. He has allowed me to pursue the things I love and have passion for. For this, I am forever grateful.

Two months ago I heard a song that is an echo of my heart. The words and music by Cloverton bring peace to my soul. Great Plans. Yes, it’s true – God does have GREAT plans for me! When I hear the words, it is a peaceful reminder that no matter what happens that I understand or do not understand, God’s plans are far GREATER than mine.

This song has been a “go to” for me for quite some time. I find myself listening to this song for simple reminders that God has a plan. To be reminded of the peace that surpasses all understanding – when my head and logic just doesn’t make sense.

Last night I was able to share this with my best friend. It was a lot to process for him but the song and the verse this song comes from are echoes of my heart. God has GOOD plans for my life, and his.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:11-13

God’s plan is not only one for good and not evil; He has GREAT plans for me.

Sometimes, we see things that happen as “bad” in our lives but we only see the moment. We don’t see the whole picture. We don’t see the divine wisdom that is being orchestrated for our GOOD and God’s glory.

The lyrics are amazing…

Be blessed by the GREAT plans HE has for you and your life!!
