Time for a blog I suppose

I've been delaying this blog a bit, but a 5-6 week delay is hardly a "delay" in the WR lifestyle. Just saying... but to all those faithful supporters and friends/family, I know you may be wondering what God's up to:)

Everyone may find it odd that I just finally unpacked from Training Camp; as in the day before Thanksgiving unpacked. Actually, most stuff was tossed into a box and the clothes put away but I just can't finish putting things away. It's been a bit surreal to unpack things knowing that I do not have a "repack" date.
Yup - you read that correctly...
My week of TC was extremely different than most people's. But here are some main points of interest

I didn't leave with a squad or a team rather a few select friends I'll treasure for life.
I didn't leave with a bucket full of memories and stories to share with the world rather a few meaningful events that I'll treasure as sharpening points.
I didn't levae with a memory card overflowing on a camera like some, rather about six pics.
I didn't leave like everyone else...
...but I did leave.
I left TC with a LIST full of life lessons.
I left TC with a memory as that car pulled out of camp - full of love from a few squaddies who will make the wedding invite list if they are not standing next to me up front;)
I left TC with a broken heart - yet ready to conquer the world in new ways.
I left TC confused and terrified of the days, weeks and conversations that were to come.

I left Phoenix Arizona on October 13th in tears - bawling my eyes out as my mountains disappeared through clouds and I returned to Phoenix with an anxiety like I'd NEVER known in all my life.Well, until the rubber met the road.

In fact, everyone will find it odd that I'm still not fully unpacked from Training Camp. No worries now... the dirty clothes made it to the laundry room and were washed, the damp stuff was hung out to dry and put away (tent and sleeping bag) but I just haven't finished pulling things out of the pack. It's been a bit surreal to unpack knowing that I do not have a "repack" date.
